For the first time in three generations, Europe is in danger. And it is a danger that concerns not only the European Union as a political entity, but the entire civil and democratic space of the Continent.

The Trump presidency’s predatory line, Russia’s imperialism, China’s growing power, instability in the Middle East and Africa compose a scenario in which everything seems against us Europeans.

While the EU institutions prove slow and ineffective in their response and the press does nothing but spread mistrust and defeatism, more and more people do not want to give up and give up the freedom that someone wants to take away from us.

This is why two young realities of the cultural and political world, Avanguardia and L’Europeista, have decided to join forces and to call all free men and women who still believe in the centrality of Europe and do not want to be subjugated by anyone else to Rome on 12 April 2025 .

Europe now! is the motto around which we will gather that day at the Centro Congressi Cavour (Via Cavour 50/a, Rome) to reaffirm the dignity of us Europeans and claim our EU political subjectivity at the international level.

Europe Now! is neither a mere political event nor an embryonic party: it is a patriotic call around which those who still believe in a leading and autonomous Europe will rally.

In Rome, distinguished guests from transversal political and social backgrounds have agreed to be with us, who will discuss the most pressing issues concerning the future of the ‘old’ continent, which we all want to make young, competitive and vital again.

The initiative is structured around three pillars, which will also be the subject of the Manifesto to be drawn up: Build, Defend, Lead.

Forging a European identity, inspired by the common roots of our peoples and a narrative of their millennial history no longer distorted by ideology, is the basic requirement for building a strong continental political entity and overcoming the weak technocracy that has animated the EU institutions to date.

Without forgetting the wealth and interests of European citizens, which must be at the top of the Union’s priorities and not subordinate to ideological and unpragmatic drifts.

Europe must once again become a market leader and a pole of attraction and development of the best energies, and to do this it cannot give up defending itself nor can it delegate its defence to others.

At a time when war has become tragically topical again, the protection of European territory and citizens is the first duty of those with public responsibility and, at the same time, the ultimate symbol of political influence.

We cannot continue to be a ‘terracotta pot squeezed between iron pots’, and we must rid ourselves of the fearful inferiority complex that has long held back our development and self-determination.
